This policy explains how Pristine Clean (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and protects your personal information when you contact us or request an estimate through our website, www.pristinecleanhome.uk. We are a family-run carpet and upholstery cleaning business based in South Milford, Yorkshire.

What information we collect

When you submit an estimate request or otherwise contact us, we may collect:

• Your name
• Your mobile or telephone number
• Your email address
• Your postcode
• Details of the cleaning you’re interested in, and any notes or photographs you choose to share about the items, stains or areas you’d like us to review
• Your preferred contact method and time, if you tell us
• Your marketing preferences (whether you have asked to receive occasional updates by email and/or by text or WhatsApp)

You don’t have to provide photographs or notes — they’re optional and only there to help us give you a more accurate estimate.

How we use your information

We use the information you give us to:

• Respond to your estimate request or enquiry and provide a quote
• Arrange and carry out any cleaning work you book with us
• Contact you about your request using the method you prefer
• Send you occasional offers and useful tips — but only if you have specifically opted in to marketing, and only through the channel(s) you chose

We will only use your details to respond to your request and, where you have agreed, to send marketing. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for anything you wouldn’t reasonably expect.

Our lawful basis

Under UK data protection law, we rely on:

• Your consent — when you ask us to contact you about an estimate, and (separately) if you opt in to marketing.
• Legitimate interests — to respond to enquiries and run our business, in a way that does not override your rights.
• Contract — where we need your details to carry out work you have booked.

How your enquiry reaches us

Our website does not run its own database. When you submit the estimate form, your details are sent securely (over an encrypted HTTPS connection) to a third-party form-delivery service (Web3Forms) that forwards them to our email inbox so we can reply to you. That service stores submissions only temporarily before automatically deleting them. Our website is hosted by GoDaddy. These providers process your data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Marketing and how to opt out

We will only send you marketing messages if you have ticked to receive them. Email marketing and text/WhatsApp marketing are treated separately, so you only hear from us on the channel(s) you chose. You can opt out at any time — every marketing email includes an unsubscribe option, and you can reply to any marketing text or message asking us to stop, or simply email us. Opting out of marketing will not affect our ability to reply to a specific estimate request you’ve made.

How long we keep your information

We keep enquiry and customer details only for as long as we need them — to respond to your request, to carry out and stand behind any work, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. We securely delete information once it is no longer needed.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
• Ask us to delete your information, where there’s no reason for us to keep it
• Object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your information
• Withdraw your consent at any time
